3 Season Sleeping Bag: 15 degrees Fahrenheit and above
Extreme Cold Weather Sleeping Bag: 15 degrees Fahrenheit and below
Combined Temperature Range when used in conjunction with issued cold weather equipment/clothing: 0 to -13 degrees Fahrenheit
When temperatures are above 40 degrees Fahrenheit the user does not require any additional layers beyond your standard T-shirt and underwear. In temperature ranges of 40 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit users are recommended to wear their Level 1 base layers. In temperature ranges of 35 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit users are recommended to wear their Level 2 base layers. In temperature ranges of 25 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit users are recommended to wear their Level 2 base layers, balaclava, glove liners and the all-purpose liner (woobie). If temperatures are below 15 degrees usage of the Extreme Cold Weather bag is recommended however the 3 Season bag can be used in this range of temperatures if the Level 2 base layers, balaclava, glove liners and the and “happy suit” ( level 7) are worn in conjunction with the sleeping bag.
The Extreme Cold Weather bag covers temperature ranges of 15 degrees Fahrenheit and below. At 15 degrees Fahrenheit it is recommended users wear both their Level 1 and 2 base layers, balaclava and glove liners. At 5 degrees Fahrenheit users are recommended to wear to wear both level 1 and 2 base layers, balaclava and glove liners as well as incorporating the all-purpose liner (woobie) or their “happy suit” (Level 7). At 0 degrees Fahrenheit it is recommended that the 3 Season bag is combined with the Extreme Cold Weather Bag as well as your Level 1 and 2 base layers, balaclava, and glove liners. At temperatures below 0 but above -13 it is recommended you combine your 3 Season Bag, Extreme Cold Weather Bag, Level 1 and 2 base layers, balaclava, glove liners as well as the “happy suit” (Level 7)
