Description
This is a French Fourragere. The Fourragere is a cord that is awarded by foreign governments to units for distinguished service during a conflict. In the case of the French Fourragere this cord was awarded to US Army and Marine Corps units who fought in the First World War particularly in regions in or around France. The French Fourragere is authorized for permanent wear with a Soldier’s dress uniform when with a unit that has received that Fourragere as an award.

- Part of the AGSU – The Army Green Service Uniform is an optional formal and ceremonial dress uniform currently in service within the US Army. These “Pinks and Greens” are modeled after the dress uniforms used during WWII.
These uniforms were tested for service from 2018-2021 before they were made available for all in 2021. The Army began issuing these uniforms for new recruits in 2021 as well. They are scheduled to completely replace the current Army “Dress Blues” at the end of 2027.
