Description

This is a base layer top from Beyond Clothing. The PCU thermal is made of a jersey type fabric that is moisture wicking and breathable. These tops are a great upgrade from the standard USGI silk weight thermals and are form fitting to allow great range of motion.

Features:

ECWCS Level 1 – These are base layers meant to be worn in a variety of temperatures and form the base for all ECWCS layers. Material is quick drying, moisture wicking, breathable and lightweight. Layers consist of a top and bottom that are typically tight fitting to help with insulation as well as breathability.
Moisture Wicking – Garment wicks away moisture which decreases drying time of the material and less soaking.
Breathable – Breathable means it allows moisture to escape to help keep the wear dry even when sweating.
Lightweight Construction – Built with lightweight materials for extended use.
Quick Drying – Material is quick drying.
SOF-PCU – Part of the 7 levels of the Protective Combat Uniform used by Special Operations Forces across the US Military. Levels are similar to the standard ECWCS system. Some levels are broken down into multiple parts, such as lvl 1A & 1B. Overall the system is a more specialized cold and wet weather clothing system that more closely follows current civilian market options that are tailored towards tactical use.
