This is a Catoma Switchblade Raid Pack. The Raid Pack is a part of the Switchblade Load Carriage System which is a modular pack suite designed for specific mission customization by the end user. At the heart of this system we have the CHIEF frame system (Composite Hybrid Interchangeable Ergonomic Framesheet). The CHIEF frame handles a massive amount of heavy lifting for this pack. The carbon fiber main section is light but strong and the overly padded straps disperse the load like a dream. While the Raid Pack is rather simple in form it does have some handy features. These features include external MOLLE webbing, zipper pack closure, 2 external accessible pockets, 2 internal zippered pockets, 2 internal mesh pockets on front flap, internal/external cinch straps, padded shoulder straps, padded waist belt, color matched loop field and a external upper zippered pocket. A neat feature of the pack is the non standard buckles that are used throughout. Each buckle is half a female buckle and half a male buckle. While odd, this type of buckle does aide in one handed opening. Overall this pack is great for someone trekking a heavy load long distance so whether you’re a backcountry hiker or an infantry dude this pack is for you.
