USGI Gregory SPEAR UM21 Patrol Pack

Description

This is a Gregory Patrol Pack from the SPEAR UM21 / BALCS system used through the 90’s and 2000s by various SOF units. This pack was part of the same system as ELCS and is loaded with features. It can be integrated in with the SPEAR main rucksack, it buckles on to the front of the rucksack, but with the internal frame and 50 pound weight rating, is very capable by itself. Much like the main rucksack it includes a beavertail attachment that can be used to carry bulky, wet or irregularly shaped gear like helmets or shelter systems. The shoulder straps are adjustable and include adjustable load lifters. The padded waist straps include MOLLE webbing and are adjustable in various places. The bag also features many compression straps and ample MOLLE real estate for attaching pouches and lashing on additional gear. Overall this pack is a great addition to a larger ruck or very capable stand alone pack for shorter trips.
