Description

This is an ORC Improved Rainsuit Jacket that was used in the US Military. These are very similar to the standard, old issue, rainsuit parkas but being from ORC Industries have small differences and improvements. The water proof jacket is worn over the duty uniform for cold weather layers and full zipper closure on the front. The hood is adjustable and can be stowed as a collar with hook and loop tabs. The two waist pockets are pass thru to access layers underneath and the armpits are zippered for breathability. Overall this is a good basic raincoat for general outdoor use.

Hood With Adjustable Drawstring – This item has a hood with an adjustable drawstring.
Woodland Camo Pattern – Created and issued from 1981 onwards. Based on the ERDL camo patterns used throughout the Vietnam War and afterwards, specifically the 2nd pattern ERDL, RDF ERDL. The biggest change over earlier ERDL patterns was the enlargement of the patterns and shapes found in ERDL. The colors were also the same with light green, dark green and brown being used. Black would be used in twig shapes across the base colors. Woodland Camo is commonly referred to just as BDU or M81. M81 is an unofficial name for Woodland Camo that comes from its adoption date, 1981. It was used across the US Military till individual service branches replaced it with modern camo patterns.
Zipper Storm Flap – This jacket has a storm flap for covering the zipper in inclement weather. Storm flaps help insure water and wind are not able to pass through the zipper.
Jacket Zippered Armpits – Armpits on jacket have zippers to help with ventilation and cooling down.
Adjustable Sleeve Cuffs – Sleeves have either a button or hook and loop adjustable cuff for fit and wear.
Waterproof – Waterproof means that it will not absorb water or be damaged when submerged in water.
Windproof – It will help break the wind an hold warmth even in windy weather.
Stow Away Hood – There is a stow away hood in the jackets collar for inclement weather.
