USGI NVG Helmet Tensile Ratchet Strap

This is a ratchet tensile strap that is used to secure NVG mounting brackets to helmets. The strap can be used in place of, or in conjuction with, mounts that are secured to a helmet with a nut and bolt. The strap is secured to compatible brackets and then also hooked onto the rear of the helmet. Once tightened the strap secured the bracket in place for secure NVG wear. Overall this is a great way to attach your night vision mount to an older helmet without the typical hardware.
