Description

This Tru-Spec Hot Weather Boonie hat is a lighter-weight, more breathable alternative to the standard issue boonie hat and is great for blocking sunlight and keeping your head cool on hot days. Ventilation holes on the nylon/cotton ripstop crown keep the boonie hat breathable while the adjustable chin cord allows for custom fit and wearing around the neck when you want to take it off. Inside the hat is a small pocket for maps or other flat documents. The hot weather material is a huge upgrade form the standard issue uniforms. The change to a lighter weight material does lend these to fade quicker then standard 50/50 NYCO.

Features:

Loose Webbing Loops – There are loose webbing loops for attaching items to the gear or clothing. Typically used to attach local vegetation for added camo.
Mesh Vent Holes – There are mesh vent holes to help with air flow and drainage of water.
Hat Drawstring – This hat has an adjustable drawstring that can be secured under the wearers chin to prevent movement from the hat and to keep the hat from being blown off by the wind.
Ripstop Material – Ripstop is a method in which the material is woven in away to make it resistant to tearing and ripping.
