Description
These are 4th Engineer Battalion Unit Crest Pins. These crest pins are authorized for wear on a Soldier’s dress uniform indicating their affiliation with that unit. The 4th Engineer Battalion was constituted into the regular army in December of 1861. The 4th has been activated/ deactivated and deployed numerous times in their history. Activity dates for the 4th Engineer Battalion are 1861-1921, 1922-1946, 1948-2004 and 2006 to the present. During these activity dates the 4th participated in the American Civil War, WWI, WWII, Vietnam and the Global War on Terror. As of 2006 the 4th Engineer Battalion is headquartered at Fort Carson in Colorado.
