Gerber Entrenching Tool, E-Tool

Description

This is a folding E-Tool, that is similar to the standard issue one, from Gerber. Although not issued, and not acceptable for CIF turn-in, this is a great entrenching tool that has seen tons of use in the military. It features a more aggressively serrated edge on one side for sawing through branches then the standard USGI E Tool. It folds into a similar footprint as the USGI E-tool, but with a fiberglass reinforced polymer handle, and is much more comfortable to use. There are two usable positions, 90 degrees and 180 degrees, with 90 being better for chopping through roots or getting through tough soil, while 180 degrees is best for simple digging and sawing. Overall this is a great alternative to the USGI E-tool and fits right at home in any camping or survival kit
