Description
This is a level 2 FREE fleece top used in the US Military. These fire resistant thermals are typically worn by aircrew. The top has a 1/4 collar and elastic sleeve cuffs. The tail is longer so it stays tucked longer and is a jersey material for breathability. These work well as a standalone fleece but are meant to be worn under a jacket as an extra layer for the coldest days. Overall this is a good, warm, protective mid layer for general wear and use.

- FREE Clothing System – The Fire Resistant Environmental Ensemble. FREE is a system of fire resistant clothing and accessories for wear by combat vehicle crewman and aircrew members that generally follows the format of ECWCS as far as layering goes. All layers are fire resistant and focused towards the needs of the Soldiers wearing them. Generally FREE Clothing is a upgraded version of the standard issue equivalent, along with being fire resistant.
- Shirt 1/4 Zip closure – This shirt has a 1/4 zip closure which means that it is a pullover that has a zipper that goes about 1/4 of the way down the shirt.
- Elastic Wrist Cuffs – Cuffs around wrists are elastic for fit and to prevent debris from entering clothing
- Flame Resistant – Will not catch fire when exposed to flames. It will burn but it will not drip or catch fire.
- Moisture Wicking – Garment wicks away moisture which decreases drying time of the material and less soaking.
