Description
This is ONLY the vest itself. Does NOT include any ballistic inserts or additional components. Will NOT offer any ballistic protection.
This is an Interceptor vest without armor inserts that was used by the US Military. When complete, the vest uses a combination of hard and soft armor to protect the user. This vest saw extensive use in the early years of the War on Terror, and saw limited use all the way into the early 2010s. Two hard plates are held in the front, with one in back and soft armor inserts cover most of the gaps in protection. Additional pieces, such as the DAPS and groin protector offer additional protection to other areas not originally protected by the vest, and integrate smoothly with it. The vest is adjustable and closes in the front with hook and loop as well as button snaps. MOLLE webbing all along the outside allows the user to configure the vest however they need, and there are loop panels at the front for ranks and nametapes. There is also a large drag handle at the back for pulling or dragging casualties. Overall this is a solid base to build on with additional components and armor inserts.
This is ONLY the vest itself. Does NOT include any ballistic inserts or additional components. Will NOT offer any ballistic protection.

- Woodland Camo Pattern – Created and issued from 1981 onwards. Based on the ERDL camo patterns used throughout the Vietnam War and afterwards, specifically the 2nd pattern ERDL, RDF ERDL. Black would be used in twig shapes across the base colors. Woodland Camo is commonly referred to just as BDU or M81. M81 is an unofficial name for Woodland Camo that comes from its adoption date, 1981. It was used across the US Military till individual service branches replaced it with modern camo patterns.
