USGI ORC Industries Level 5 PCU Soft Shell Pants

Description

This is a pair of PCU level 5 pants. It’s pretty similar to the standard ECWCS lvl 5 gear, but just a little better because the people using it were specialer. The pants are wind and water resistant and meant to be worn over one to two other thermal layers, so it’s a little oversized for layering. The pants have no waist or back pockets, but have flapped cargo pockets for needed items. The pants waist is adjustable with tabs and there are zippers at the hips to allow the pants to open up more for ease of don/doffing. The center rear of the waist has an additional section that can be used as a suspender mounting point. The pants legs are 1/2 zipper for putting on/taking off over boots and the interior side of the cuffs are reinforced. The pants cuffs are also adjustable. The pants can be worn with a belt, with the belt loops, or with suspenders. Suspenders included with New condition. These are great outer layer pants for cold days outside and when worn with thermal layers keeps the wearer warm all day.

• Water Resistant – It can be exposed to water for a short period of time without being damaged or saturated with water. Generally not recommended to submerge Water Resistant items unless item is made for that level of exposure.
• Wind Resistant – This is wind resistant which means that it helps break the wind and keep the wearer warmer.
• SOF-PCU – Part of the 7 levels of the Protective Combat Uniform used by Special Operations Forces across the US Military. Levels are similar to the standard ECWCS system. Some levels are broken down into multiple parts, such as lvl 1A & 1B. Overall the system is a more specialized cold and wet weather clothing system that more closely follows current civilian market options that are tailored towards tactical use.
• ECWCS Level 5 – This layer consists of a soft shell jacket and trouser set that is meant to be worn in a moderate to cold conditions and over thermal layers or the standard uniform. The jacket and trousers are low bulk, wind and water resistant, and cut to allow for good mobility while remaining lightweight.
