Description
This is a thermobaric grenade pouch produced by Paraclete for Crye Precision and issued to a very small number of elite units within the US Military. This pouch is nearly identical to the Thermobaric pouch from the Crye 330D pouch suite used by Tier 1 units such as CAG and DEVGRU, but is made of 500D instead of 330D. This pouch in particular was designed to carry a thermobaric grenade, and offers an adjustable height flap with a buckle closure, allowing for silent access. There is elastic around the pouch to keep contents secure, and it is a good size to carry 1 20rd .308 Magazine, or a 20rd 5.56 magazine, although this pouch is best suited to carry a grenade as originally intended. Due to a combination of extremely limited issue number and hard use by the units they were issued to, these pouches are very hard to find. This pouch in particular was manufactured by Paraclete, and features the Paraclete style MOLLE straps. Pouches made by Eagle Industries will have button snap fasteners for the MOLLE straps. Overall this pouch is a very rare and significant piece of recent gear history, both because of the units it is affiliated with and the influence of the design on many other modern pouches.
