Description

This is an RBAV-AF that is used in the US Marine Corps. The vest is releasable, so in emergency situations the body armor can be taken off quickly. The vest has plate pockets for ballistic armor and is adjustable for height and waist. Across the vest is MOLLE webbing for pouches and other accessories. The cummerbund has MOLLE webbing as well. The cummerbund secures with a hook and loop flap at the front of the vest. There is also an adjustable elastic inner band that helps the wear find best fit and keep some weight off the shoulders when the vest is worn. At the front there are side pockets that can accept magazines, small radios or other items. The vest does not include side plate pockets. This is a great vest that is rugged and easy to setup.

Carrier will fit corresponding size USGI ESAPI plates, but is intended for use with corresponding size USGI SPEAR sized plates and soft armor inserts.

SIZING:
Small: Torso Height 13.5″ / Chest up to 37″
Medium: Torso Height 14.5″ / Chest 37″ – 41″
Large: Torso Height 15.5″ / Chest 41″ – 45″
Torso Height it based off Navel to Collar, that is the area that ballistic plates should sit for proper fit and wear.

Features:

  • Can Hold Ballistic Plates – Ballistic plates can be held within included plate pockets.
  • Adjustable Height and Waist – Can be adjusted to fit wearers height and waist.
  • MOLLE Webbing – MOLLE webbing on exterior for attaching additional pouches and accessories.
  • Adjustable Padded Shoulder Straps – This has adjustable padded shoulder straps for extra comfort when carrying a load.
  • Releasable Body Armor – Body armor has a release handle and cord for emergency doffing of armor. This is for situations when the body armor has to be taken off in a hurry, such as due to injury or when submerged in water. THIS IS NOT FOR REGULAR DONNING AND DOFFING. Body armor comes apart and must be completely put back together when release cable or handle is pulled.

    Here's the sizing chart! Sorry for not including that originally in the listing. For reference I am 195 lbs and 71" Tall, general build, and I can fit in a Medium comfortably, but and more on the Large size when it comes down to proper fitment.

    Small: Torso Height 13.5" / Chest up to 37"
