This is a Woobie Blanket from Woobie Gear. The woobie from Woobie Gear is of the same quality, durability and warmth that you can expect from the tried and true USGI ones. These lightweight blankets have been upgraded from the standard issue ones with the application of a DWR coating and a zipper. This adds to the already good water and wind resistance of the blanket. The zippers makes these Woobies a great lightweight, summer weight, sleeping bag or a good liner for adding to the warmth of a sleeping bag during the winter. At each corner are strings for tying down or attaching the blanket to other items. Overall this is a great equivalent to the standard issue Woobie.

Features:

• DWR Coating – Has a Durable Water Resistant coating applied to material. This exterior coating gives the material additional water and wind resistance. Coatings typically need to be reapplied after several washes. Used and Defect items with DWR coatings can be expected to need reapplication for full effectiveness.
• Lightweight Construction – Built with lightweight materials for extended use.
• Full Length Zipper – Has a zipper going the full length or near full length of the item.
• Stuff Sack – Stuff sacks are used to take large bulky items, such as sleeping bags or clothes, and compress them down in to more easily stored or transported size. Typically include several cinch straps for compressing gear down in the sack.
• String Tie Downs – There are strings along the corner and side for down or attaching to other pieces of gear.
• Wind Resistant – This is wind resistant which means that it helps break the wind and keep the wearer warmer.
• Water Resistant – It can be exposed to water for a short period of time without being damaged or saturated with water. Generally not recommended to submerge Water Resistant items unless item is made for that level of exposure.
• Ripstop Material – Ripstop is a method in which the material is woven in away to make it resistant to tearing and ripping.
